I SWORE I'D NEVER BLOG 'TIL MY NERVES SETTLED

I’m glad they actually did—although, on second thought, I kinda hate summer.

I actually planned to write this post earlier, but ever since the announcement of the One Direction concert in the Philippines, I’ve been inexplicably shaky, and even though I’ve been thinking about a lot of things, I just can’t seem to put them into writing. But thankfully, I did get tickets (!!!!!!!!!!!), and now I’m somewhat calm. I think. But back to the topic.

It’s not that I hate beach trips, clear skies, and flexible schedules—I just kind of like sweater weather more (considering that I have more sweaters than crop tops or whatever), and I actually like school with that kind of atmosphere.

I guess I just hate that I have nothing to do, because I’m not one of those girls who knows what they want to learn and will learn it (I used to be that, though. I don’t know what happened. I think I got disheartened permanently).  I want to be that again. I just hate that I have a lot of time in my hands but I waste it with a pointless routine (instagram-twitter-tumblr, not really that productive), and not to mention the unnecessary weight gain powered by the augmented laziness to exercise (or even do any other thing).  I guess I kinda miss school (I can’t even believe I’m saying this), because there, I have a purpose. I know what to do, and I’m doing it. I’m too discouraged (and lazy) to find myself a purpose, so I’m just going to wait for somebody to give me one.

Here’s an old outfit post I shot in Baguio last December. Sigh, I really miss sweater weather.

On a somewhat(?) brighter note, I have been tagged by the ever wondrous Jia Achacruz of Rough & Tough for the Versatile Blogger Award and Liebster Award! Everyone seems to be exchanging these awards and the blogosphere has never been this alive—and I’m more than glad to be part of it.

So, with the VBA, the tagged needs to tell seven facts about themselves and you can read about the rules of the Liebster Award in my last last post.

Seven Facts:
1.       I wear boyfriend jeans a lot (I’m actually surprised I haven’t spammed you guys with outfit by outfit with the aforementioned jeans in them), and everyone thinks they look ridiculous because I bought them at a thrift shop and they’re way too big for me. But heck, I like them.
2.       I don’t listen to that much “””hipster””” or “””indie””” music. I prefer Bazooka Rock Fest than Wanderland.
3.       My favorite All Time Low member is Zack Merrick, although I have an unnecessary(?) crush on Jack Barakat, albeit I think everyone has an unnecessary crush on Jack Barakat.
4.       I’m out of facts.
5.       I’m really good at overdressing.
6.       My favorite bloggers are Nadia Esra and Nora Aradi, and it’s weird because their styles (both in fashion and blogging) are so different from each other.
7.       I dislike the book Thirteen Reasons Why. The plot is okay and all, but it’s not just a hit for me. And that sucks because I stayed up until 2 am on a school night to finish it.

Jia’s Questions:

1.       Why do you blog?
I started blogging because I was bored last summer, but I chose to continue because I wanted to change for the better. As stated on my sidebar, I want to change the world – or at least myself, and it’s great because I did. I really think I changed a lot ever since I started.

2.       Where do you see yourself 5-10 years from now?
Probably still studying oncology in my dream school.  Or, if at that time, I already landed on my first job, I’d be buying multiple copies of The Fault in our Stars and give it to my patients.

3.       If you could choose another person to manage your blog, who would it be and why?
Aria Clemente, because I love her style and we kinda-sorta write in the same way(??????). She’s just really awesome and maybe my blog would be awesome too if she managed it.

4.       Who is/are your style icons/life heroes?
Style Icons: Zoe Suen, Bernadette from borntobotheryou, and oh wow I actually don’t have style icons because I don’t know how the hell I dress up.
Life Heroes: My parents (literally angels without wings), David Levithan, Harry Styles, and Oliver Sykes.

5.       What`s so great about 2013?
2013 was the year I became braver and knew what I wanted to do, and actually did it. It was the time where I just started not to care about what others think of me and just go ahead and have fun, and the year we decided to get wifi. All in all it was an awesome year.

6.       If the world is literally coming to end tomorrow, what would you do for your remaining 24 hours?
Fly around the globe and stop in different time zones so it would seem to be the longest day of my life. Then, I don’t know. I’d probably try to meet 5SOS, and yeah. (Basically I’m not ready for the world to end.)

7.       I`m giving you a one-way ticket to anywhere in the world. Where would you go?
Australia, because the weather there is always on point, and so many weird things always happen there and it’s just interesting, or London, because who doesn’t want to live in London? (OR LA BECAUSE OH MY GOD IT’S JUST MAGICAL THERE.)

8.       If you could wear only one color for the rest of your life, from head to toe, what color is it and why?
Black like my soul White, because it’s just so calm and serene.

9.       Which do you prefer: lots of acquaintances or a very few but great friends?
The latter, because having a lot of acquaintances but no real friends can make one feel very alone.

10.   What is #1 on your bucket list?
I don’t have a bucket list as of the moment, but I remember making one early last year and I think the first one was to go jump off a plane/cliff diving/be in a dancing mob (which, I realize, is BS because I can’t dance).

11.   Top 3 artists you could listen to anytime?
One Direction (#noshame), The Vamps (I think every one of their songs got stuck in my head one way or another), All Time Low, We The Kings, 5 Seconds of Summer, and Marina & The Diamonds. Oh wait you said three…

I (inexplicably) ran out of blogs to tag, but I’ll edit this post if I find anyone.

Anywaaaaay, I recently attended the I Know Write Manila Summer Workshop, and we have been challenged to post it in an unconventional way. I’m still draining my brain, but I’ll post it soon xx
